The influence of organisational culture on outcomes like conduct and risk management is widely accepted by both regulators and institutions. Many agencies find that behavioural science can help deepen their insight on issues related to corporate culture: what culture is, how it influences outcomes, how it can be measured in a valid and reliable manner, and how to change it. We can’t train people to become behavioural scientists (that is the remit of universities!). However we have designed and conducted a variety of sessions for regulators around the world, including knowledge sharing presentations and practical skill-building workshops on specific topics related to culture and governance.
